SONOMA, Calif. (Feb. 28, 2017) - Sonoma Raceway will partner with Sonoma Charter School to host the track's first cars-and-coffee style event, Sonoma Show & Shine, on Saturday, April 15. All proceeds from the event will benefit the Sonoma chapter of Speedway Children's Charities (SCC) and Sonoma Charter School.

Car enthusiasts and car club members alike are invited to put their cars on display in the raceway's main paddock while enjoying a showcase of entries ranging from exotics to hot rods and a hot cup of coffee and pastries. The car show will run from 9 a.m. to noon.; admission for participants and spectators is $15. Whether you want to show off your car, make it a family day or enjoy a day at the raceway, all are welcome for this festive day at the track.

Car show attendees can also enjoy high-speed action on the drag strip as the popular Bracket Drags runs throughout the day. The Raceway Café will also be open for lunch.

SCC, the charitable arm of Sonoma Raceway, is dedicated to caring for children in educational, financial, social and medical need in order to help them lead productive lives. The Sonoma chapter of SCC has distributed more than $5.5 million to Sonoma County youth groups since 2001. Much of the funds distributed are raised at special events held throughout the year.

Sonoma Charter School is committed to equipping students with the tools they need for academic, personal and social achievement. You Make the Difference is the theme for the school's 2016-2017 Annual Giving Campaign.
