Sonoma Raceway will continue to serve as Northern California's premier motorsports destination for the 2018 race season, with a schedule headlined by the country's top racing series and the Verizon IndyCar® Series championship weekend.

For the fourth consecutive year, the Verizon IndyCar Series will decide its championship on the challenging road course, with the Grand Prix of Sonoma slated as the series season finale, Sept. 14-16. In addition, the Sports Car Club of America® will hold their  2018 SCCA® National Championship Runoffs® at Sonoma Raceway, Oct. 16-21.  It is the first time the Runoffs will be held at the Northern California facility.

Another new event is coming to wine country as Sonoma Raceway will serve as the 2018 location for the Make the Future California featuring Shell Eco-marathon Americas, April 19-22. The event is one of the world's leading energy efficiency competitions for students, requiring them to design, build and test ultra-energy-efficient vehicles; push the boundaries of what is technically possible and inspire thinking about the challenges and opportunities for future mobility. Make the Future California will host two Shell Eco-marathons competitions including the Shell Eco-marathon Mileage Challenge and the Shell Eco-marathon Drivers' World Championship Regional Final.

The Sonoma Raceway major event schedule will also feature the stars and legends of the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series and the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series.

The Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series makes its only stop in Northern California for the Toyota/Save Mart 350, June 22-24. The first road-course event of the series' 36-race schedule has become one of the most exciting and unpredictable each year, with 11 different winners over the past 12 years.

Qualifying for the Toyota/Save Mart 350 will return on Saturday, June 23, along with the 64-lap main event for the NASCAR Pro Series West. The 110-lap Toyota/Save Mart 350 will be the feature on Sunday.

Race fans can expect another record-breaking weekend as the fastest sport on earth returns to Sonoma for back-to-back weekends of the world's best drag racing, highlighted by the 31st annual Toyota NHRA Sonoma Nationals, July 27-29. The track hosted historic victories in 2017, as well as a track elapsed time record of 3.669 seconds by Top Fuel driver Leah Pritchett and the national speed record of 339.87 mph by Robert Hight in the Funny Car category.

The NHRA Division 7 Drag Races, presented by Korbel, kicks-off the drag racing weekends, July 20-22.

Professional two-wheel Superbike racing returns for the second consecutive year, as Sonoma Raceway will host the seventh round of the 2018 MotoAmerica AMA/FIM North American Road Race Championship during the Cycle Gear Championship of Sonoma, Aug. 9 -12.

Race fans can enjoy multiple weekends of vintage racing as historic machines take to the road course, highlighted by the Sonoma Historic Motorsports Festival (June 1-3) and the Classic Sports Racing Group Charity Challenge (Oct. 5-7).
