NASCAR weekend at Sonoma Raceway always puts on one of the most memorable weekends of the year.
While the races are the main event, Sonoma Raceway has also put its all into everything that happens off the track. From the elaborate fan zone to live shows on stage, here are some of the events to keep your eye out for.
Patriots Jet Team Air Show
Sonoma Raceway is one of the only tracks that still puts on a full air show for NASCAR fans. The Patriots Jet Team will be putting on a 25-minute air show before the Toyota/Save Mart 350 race on Sunday where they will be showing off their six-L-39 Albatross Jets. The show will consist of fast-paced, choregraphed flying with aerobatic maneuvers that are sure to get the crowd excited. No matter where you are on property, look to the skies for a one-of-a-kind show.
Historic Tans Am
Feeling nostalgic? Our Historic Trans Am Series will feature beautifully restored race cars from 1966-1972—also known as the golden era of American racing. The cars will have their own practice sessions on track both Friday and Saturday morning and then will race in the evening during the Historic Trans Am race. The cars will then be put on display near the fan zone for Sunday.
NASCAR Hauler Parade
Experience one of NASCAR’s most beloved traditions on Friday morning with the NASCAR hauler parade. Watch as the Cup Series haulers parade down Sonoma Raceway’s world-famous Esses before they find their home for the weekend in the NASCAR garages. Help us give our Cup Series teams a big Sonoma welcome as we head into race weekend. Check out the hauler parade route here. We recommend viewing the parade from the main grandstands or Turn 9 Terrace. (Only open to trackside campers.)
Driver Autograph Sessions
Throughout the weekend catch your favorite NASCAR drivers during their autograph sessions. Meet them face-to-face while getting your new merch signed. Come see stars like Ross Chastain at the Chastain/Trackhouse merchandise trailer on Sunday at 8:40 a.m., or Ricky Stenhouse Jr. at the NASCAR Classics merchandise trailer. A full schedule of autograph sessions can be viewed here.
Driver Appearances
In addition to autograph sessions, drivers will also be making appearances throughout the property at some of our special fan events. Michael McDowell will be making an appearance at the camper appreciation party, Kyle Petty will be at Speedway Experience in the fan zone Sunday morning, and Christopher Bell will stop by the Toyota GAZOO Racing Experience. The full schedule of driver appearances can be viewed here.
