Sonoma Raceway Opens Ferrari Challenge to Spectators September 10
For the first time, Sonoma Raceway will open the upcoming Sept. 9-11 Ferrari Challenge to spectators on a super Saturday, Sept. 10, as some of the world’s most exotic sports cars and race cars tackle the famous 12-turn, 2.52-mile circuit.
“Seeing Ferrari Challenge on our historic road course is a gift we want to share with the entire Northern California community,” said Sonoma Raceway Executive Vice President and General Manager Jill Gregory. “We love being able to offer different kinds of racing, activities and fun to fans of all ages, and this will be a spectacle for every race fan and car enthusiast.”
As the largest single-make series in racing, more than 60 Ferrari 488 Challenge Evo race cars will compete in two classes in the final round of the 2022 season. In addition, a collection of ultra-exclusive Ferrari Monza SP1 and SP2 cars will not only be on display but also take the track for lapping sessions. Spectators will not want to miss the post-race podium celebrations as well. The Saturday, Sept. 10 schedule can be found at SonomaRaceway.com
