35th Running of Toyota/Save Mart 350

This year marks the 35th running of the Toyota Save/Mart 350 NASCAR race, making it one of the longest continuous race entitlement sponsors in NASCAR, alongside the Coca-Cola 600 and Food City 500.

3rd Ever NASCAR Xfinity Series Race in Sonoma

2025 marks the third NASCAR Xfinity race hosted at Sonoma Raceway. For years, the NASCAR Xfinity Series mainly raced on tracks east of the Mississippi River, so adding Sonoma Raceway in 2023 was a rare and challenging move to the California Coast. This expansion brought the series to a new regional fanbase and introduced a fresh dynamic to the schedule, giving rising stars a chance to showcase their talent on the same historic and demanding road course where the sport’s top drivers have competed for decades.

Navigating The Most Blind Turn on the NASCAR Circuit

With Sonoma Raceway being a road course, drivers face challenges they would never encounter on a traditional oval course. According to Christopher Bell and many other drivers, Sonoma has the most blind turn in the entire NASCAR Circuit, Turn 3A. Drivers battle with the elevation change before blindly turning right towards the chute.

The latest NASCAR Race Has Ever Been at Sonoma

Traditionally held in June, this year marks the latest date that NASCAR has ever come to Sonoma. With the NASCAR weekend scheduled for July 11-13, it will be held over a month later than the 2024 NASCAR weekend.

Champion's Goblet

The iconic Champion Goblet is a unique trophy and only of its kind on the NASCAR circuit. Crafted by a local glassblower, this award will be presented to each race winner throughout the weekend, further enhancing the race's prestige. The red wine that has been chosen is from "Senses Wines."

Bio on Senses Wine: Founded by Sonoma County natives in 2011, Senses has become one of the most exciting projects out of the Sonoma Coast and Russian River Valley. With grapes from renowned vineyards crafted by legendary winemaker Thomas Rivers Brown, these wines are complex and beautifully balanced. www.senseswines.com.

Kyle Larson Gunning for Win #3 at Sonoma

Hometown favorite, Kyle Larson, returns to Sonoma as the defending champ and is gunning for his 3rd win at Sonoma. If he secures the win, it will make him the third-most all-time winner at Sonoma behind Jeff Gordon (5 wins) and Martin Truex Jr (4 wins).

Three Road Courses in One Month

Oval tracks have historically dominated the NASCAR circuit, but this year, there will be three road courses in one month, including Sonoma. The Cup Series drivers faced the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez road course in Mexico City for the first time this season before finding themselves racing back-to-back road courses at the Chicago Street Race and Sonoma Raceway tracks. With more variety of courses so close together, it should bring more excitement and better racing.

In-Season Tournament

Sonoma Raceway will play a pivotal role in the bracket stage of the all-new In-Season Challenge. The historic Toyota/Save Mart 350, set for Sunday, July 13, will serve as the third race of the bracket and mark a turning point in the elimination format. Sonoma’s inclusion adds a unique challenge for drivers as they navigate elevation changes, tight turns, and strategic pit sequences—all while battling for tournament survival.

First Time Being Aired on TNT Since 2014

For the past 10 years, NASCAR’s Cup Series at Sonoma has been aired as FOX’s season finale; however, this season marks the first year it’s returning to TNT since 2014.
