SONOMA, Calif. (Sept. 7, 2017) - Chart-topping Warner Bros. Records/Warner Music Nashville recording artist RaeLynn will perform the national anthem for the GoPro Grand Prix of Sonoma Verizon IndyCar Series season finale at Sonoma Raceway on Sunday, Sept. 17.

Hailed by People Magazine as a "Nashville spitfire," RaeLynn's No. 1 debut album WildHorse was featured as one of Rolling Stone's "Best Country and Americana Albums of 2017 So Far" and produced buzzworthy singles "Love Triangle" and "Lonely Call."

Raelynn has earned numerous award nominations from Academy of Country Music Awards, Radio Disney Music Awards and CMT Music Awards in addition to multiple national television appearances including TODAY, Late Night with Seth Meyers and ELLEN. She recently wrapped her first-ever headlining RaVe Tour and has shared the stage with Blake Shelton, Rascal Flatts, Miranda Lambert and more.

RaeLynn will attend the event as an official Novo Nordisk Patient Ambassador, alongside Verizon IndyCar Series driver and fellow Ambassador Charlie Kimball. It will mark her first time attending a Verizon IndyCar Series event. Novo Nordisk Ambassadors are a group of individuals who are inspiring examples of how people living with diabetes take care of their health while pursuing their dreams.

"I'm psyched for a day at the races and honored to be performing the national anthem. It's an added bonus to represent Novo Nordisk because they are a huge part of my life," said RaeLynn, who was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at age 12.

RaeLynn and Kimball will team up for a Q&A with race fans on the Tito's Entertainment Stage at Sonoma Raceway on race day at 12:45 p.m. Pre-race ceremonies for the GoPro Grand Prix of Sonoma begin at 2:30 p.m. and the championship race takes the green flag at 3:30 p.m.

"I'm really excited to have RaeLynn at the track this weekend for the season finale," said Kimball, driver of the No. 83 Tresiba® entry for Chip Ganassi Racing. "We originally connected as Novo Nordisk ambassadors and, although she's a country singer and I drive race cars, we found that we have a lot in common in regards to our busy travel schedules and how that affects our diabetes management. I can't wait to hear her sing the national anthem before the green flag on Sunday!"
