The new-look Blancpain GT World Challenge America series rolls into Sonoma Raceway this weekend  for its inaugural doubleheader event, featuring a full-field of exceptional GT3 machinery from brands like Ferrari, Mercedes-AMG, Porsche, Acura, Bentley, BMW, and more.

The series' all-new format features two 90-min races with full-service pit stops for added excitement and strategy. Fans can enjoy unparalleled access to the stars and cars of Blancpain GT World Challenge America with an open paddock, driver autograph sessions and Sunday Grid Walk. This family-friendly motorsports festival brings fans close to the action with open access viewing areas unlike any other race weekend.

In support, the Pirelli GT4 America and TC America championships will feature even more wheel-to-wheel sports car and touring car racing at Sonoma Raceway.

In the Pro Division, Sonoma Raceway-based K-PAX Racing enters the weekend leading the team championship standings. The team will contend a pair of Bentley Continental GTs at its home track, while working to protect its points lead against the likes of Ferrari team R. Ferri Motorsport and Wright Motorsports' Porsche team.

Overall, the weekend will feature a number of recognizable sports car racing's standout drivers, including Patrick Long (Wright Motorsports, Porsche), Colin Braun (DXDT Racing, Mercedes-AMG GT3) and James Sofronas (GMG Racing, Porsche). In addition, accomplished sportscar driver and former NASCAR Cup Rookie of the Year Andy Lally makes his Blancpain GT World Challenge series debut (One11 Competition, Ferrari), while Sonoma native Dane Cameron will compete in an Acura NSX for RealTime Racing.

On-track action begins Friday, June 7 at 11:45 a.m. (all times Pacific) for the first Blancpain GT World Challenge practice of the weekend. Round 7's 90-minute contest is scheduled to go green at 2:45 p.m. on Saturday, June 8, while Round 8 is scheduled to start at 11:15 a.m. on Sunday, June 9.
