Sonoma Raceway’s annual Winter Jam event, Northern California’s largest drifting festival, helped raise nearly $7,500 to support local Sonoma County children and families in need through Speedway Children’s Charities – Sonoma (SCC Sonoma), the charitable arm of Sonoma Raceway.
The funds were generated through ride-along donations during Winter Jam, held December 20–21 at Sonoma Raceway. Throughout the weekend, fans had the unique opportunity to ride shotgun with professional drivers during live drifting sessions by purchasing a $20 ride-along wristband, with 100 percent of the proceeds directly benefiting SCC Sonoma.
Winter Jam attracts drifting enthusiasts from across the region and combines high-energy motorsports action with interactive fan experiences. The ride-along program proved to be one of the weekend’s most popular attractions, allowing participants to experience the thrill of drifting while supporting a meaningful cause.
“The generosity of our Winter Jam community is overwhelming,” said Courtney Kiser, Director of Speedway Children’s Charities – Sonoma. “This donation will certainly make an impact during a time when there are so many children and families in need.”
As the charitable arm of Sonoma Raceway, Speedway Children’s Charities – Sonoma is dedicated to caring for families and children in need by providing funding for local nonprofit organizations that support youth health, education, and welfare. Events like Winter Jam play a vital role in helping SCC Sonoma continue its mission supporting children in critical need throughout Sonoma County.
