Sonoma Raceway and Speedway Children’s Charities (SCC) are welcoming spooky season with a frightfully fun Halloween Show & Shine on Sunday, Oct. 31 from 8 a.m. to noon. All proceeds from the cars-and-coffee style event will benefit the Sonoma Chapter of SCC, which cares for Sonoma County children in educational, financial, social and medical need.

“We hope the chance to show off some phenomenal cars and take a spin around our amazing race track will encourage fans to come out and donate,” said Jill Gregory, executive vice president and general manager at Sonoma Raceway.

Car enthusiasts can enjoy a morning mashup of exotic cars and hot rods, coffee, tricky track laps and honkin’ Halloween fun. Attendees are invited to display their cars in the raceway’s main paddock and enjoy a complimentary cup of coffee. For those looking for extra thrills, the raceway is offering the unique opportunity for drivers to take their vehicle on the track for three laps on the historic 12-turn road course. And since it’s Halloween, guests and their vehicles are encouraged to come in costume.

“After having to postpone so many of our fundraising events last year, we’re thrilled to add more new opportunities to raise money for Sonoma County children to Sonoma Raceway’s dynamic calendar,” said Courtney Kiser, director of Speedway Children’s Charities Sonoma.

Pre-registration is required and capacity is limited. Registration for participants is $25, or $100 for a “Track-or-Treat Pass” which includes a parking space and three laps around the race track. Spectators are free. To register, visit https://www.speedwaycharities.org/events/sonoma/halloween-show-shine/
