In 2023, drivers and fans will again experience the excitement of the Chute at Sonoma Raceway during the NASCAR weekend, June 9-11. Brought back last year due to overwhelming demand after a two-year hiatus, this notoriously fast segment of track is sure to thrill fans and rev up drivers alike next summer.

When the green flag drops on the Toyota/Save Mart 350 next June, the 110-lap race will add to the fan experience with more opportunities for passing and on-track action. Drivers alike will attack the high-speed stretch of track that connects Turn 4 with Turn 7 and make on-track magic as they jockey for position.

The Chute has been used in every Sonoma NASCAR event since its construction for the 1998 race, with the exception of 2019 when the Carousel was run in honor of the track’s 50th Anniversary, and in 2021. Daniel Suárez won his first career NASCAR Cup Series race on the Chute layout at the 2022 race in June.
