Sonoma Raceway offers track days with the following requirements and fees. If you have any questions concerning track days or to pre-register, please email [email protected] or call (707) 509-3813. Advance registration for track days are required; space is limited.

Open Track Days are subject to cancellation or pricing adjustment based on minimum participant requirements. Sonoma Raceway reserves the right to review registrations for each Open Track Day and, no later than five (5) days prior to the scheduled date, either:

  • Confirm the Open Track Day at the advertised rate, 
  • Implement an additional per-driver fee (surcharge) for registered participants to meet minimum participation requirements, or
  • Cancel the Open Track Day.

If a pricing adjustment or cancellation occurs, registered participants will be notified by email.

DRIVER/VEHICLE REQUIREMENTS

  • A valid competition license from the following organizations are preferred:
    • NASCAR, Grand-Am, SCCA, FIA, NASA, SVRA, VARA, INEX, HMSA, CFRA, PCA, BMWCCA, HSR, USAC, IMSA, CSRG and Star Mazda.
    • Bring your license with you to sign-in, the morning of your pre-scheduled track day
  • Rookie, Novice, Provisional, and Time Trial licenses, as well as driving school certificates, resumes, and logbooks, may be accepted at the discretion of Sonoma Raceway.
    • Non-licensed drivers must inquire prior to registration by contacting: [email protected]
  • Vehicles are to conform to SCCA Pro Racing regulations.
  • Drivers age 16 and 17 years old must also have a completed minor waiver for track day, as well as a letter from the same parent stating their permission for their child to drive, and that it covers from 1/1/26 - 12/31/26. (Download Waiver)

Participant Requirements

  1. When parking race trailers or haulers in the paddock, participants must maintain a 100' separation between pit areas.  
  2. No more than four crew members, plus the driver, per car.
  3. No passengers are allowed in race cars.
  4. In the event of an incident on track, drivers must remain in their cars while safety crews assess the scene.
  5. If a car is disabled and needs to be taken into the paddock by a recovery vehicle, the driver will be transported back to their pit area by the ambulance.

Track Day Fees

  • Regular Track Days: Full day $795 , Half day $495

Minimum Participation/Pricing Adjustment Policy

If minimum participation requirements are not met by five (5) days prior to the Open Track Day, Sonoma Raceway may offer registered participants the option to keep the day by paying an additional fee per driver. If this option is offered, the additional fee and payment deadline will be provided via email, and failure to pay the additional fee by the stated deadline may result in cancellation of the Open Track Day.

If the Open Track Day is cancelled by Sonoma Raceway, a refund will be issued to all registered participants. Credits will not be issued.

Cancellation Policy

No refunds will be issued within five (5) days of the scheduled Open Track Day. Refunds will not be given for mechanical failure, driver error, failure to comply with Open Track Day rules and regulations, etc. Open Track Days will run rain or shine!

Drones & Unmanned Aircraft Systems

The use of drones or any other unmanned aircraft systems ("UAS") is prohibited unless approved in advance in writing by senior management from Sonoma Raceway.
