Wonderbread 5 Charity Concert Kicks-Off Verizon IndyCar Series Championship Week
Fans of all ages are invited to rock out for charity as Speedway Children's Charities (SCC) presents "Rockin' for the Kids" on Monday, Aug. 24. This festive evening will feature live music from the Bay Area's premier party band, Wonderbread 5, and officially kick off Verizon IndyCar Series championship week at Sonoma Raceway.
Rockin' for the Kids, a fundraiser for the Sonoma chapter of SCC, will be hosted at Lagunitas Brewery Company in Petaluma on Monday, Aug. 24, from 5:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m. Each $50 ticket includes an evening of great music and a BBQ chicken dinner, and no event held in the Tap Room and Beer Sanctuary would be complete without the full selection of signature Lagunitas craft beers. All proceeds from the evening benefit Sonoma county youth organizations through SCC.
SCC will also host an online charity auction in advance of the GoPro Grand Prix of Sonoma for collectible items and unique at-track experiences. The online auction will be available at www.sccauctions.com through Wednesday, Aug. 26 and features over 20 items, including authentic signed collectibles and VIP race-weekend packages.
