The Sonoma Historic Motorsports Festival returns to Sonoma Raceway with more than 350 gorgeous vintage cars racing on the 12-turn, 2.52-mile road course, May 30-31.

New for 2015, Sonoma Raceway has partnered with the Sportscar Vintage Racing Association (SVRA), one of the oldest organizations in vintage racing and the only one with a national presence. This invitational event launches SVRA's Gold Medallion Program, which salutes and rewards cars that are prepared as they were raced in their original era. This year, Allard will be celebrated as a feature marque.

From 200 mph Indy and Formula 1 cars to classic Jaguars and Porsches, SVRA events provide a rolling history of motorsport where the cars are the stars at legendary tracks across the country.

The paddock area is always open to spectators at no cost beyond the admission ticket, offering a level of access to cars and drivers not available in most other forms of motorsport. Fans can also visit the numerous vendors with a variety of racing-related memorabilia or check out one of the SVRA car shows. For more information on SVRA events, visit

Tickets are $40 on Saturday and Sunday or $60 for a weekend pass. Children 12 and under are admitted free. For tickets and more information on the Sonoma Historics, visit or call 800-870-7223.
