Infineon Raceway will once again open its gates to area drag racers as the popular Wednesday Night Drags program kicks off its 23rd consecutive year on March 9.

Wednesday Night Drags gives people, from teen-agers to working professionals, a safe, legal and controlled environment in which to drag race their vehicles, as opposed to using city streets or back-county roads. Anyone with a driver’s license and a car that passes a simple technical inspection is invited to drag race on the world-famous Sonoma Valley drag strip; the same racing surface used by the world’s fastest drag racers.

The Wednesday Night Drags program will run most every Wednesday evening from March 9 - Nov. 16. Gates open at 3:30 p.m. and racing spans from 4 p.m.-10 p.m. Cost is $25 for competitors ($15 with valid high school ID) and $10 for spectators.  Season-long passes are also available.

Infineon Raceway will once again partner with several Bay Area law enforcement agencies on the Top the Cops™ program, which runs in conjunction with the Wednesday Night Drags beginning in April. This unique program allows high school students the opportunity to drag race against uniformed law enforcement officers on the quarter-mile drag strip.
