Infineon Raceway will host the final STP Bracket Drags event of the 2011 season this Sunday, Nov. 27, when some of the area’s fastest drag racers converge on the Sonoma Valley drag strip.

Bracket drag racing will be featured in six categories: High School, Trophy, Sportsman, Motorcycle, Super Pro and Pro. Gates open at 8 a.m., with drag racing spanning from 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. Qualifying and time trials will take place in the morning, followed by eliminations in the afternoon.

Cost for spectators is $15, while cost for competitors is as follows: High School and Trophy ($25); Association classes ($35); Sportsman or Motorcycle ($40); Pro or Super Pro ($60).

During the event, Infineon Raceway will collect donations for the family of fallen Vallejo Police officer Jim Capoot, who was shot and killed last week. Donations will be collected at the front gate and in the drag tower on Sunday.
