Race fans will celebrate 25 years of NHRA drag racing in the Sonoma Valley during the 25th NHRA Sonoma Nationals, July 27-29.

The raceway will host the 3rd annual Nostalgia Get-Together throughout the weekend, which will feature nearly 40 vintage racing machines and hot rods in the garages in the main paddock.  Entry to the Get-Together is free with paid admission into the raceway.

It’s an opportunity to take a stroll down memory lane with the Schrank Bros. Top Fuel dragster, or the Vagabond 1962 AA/Fuel Dragster formerly driven by Gary Ormsby. The area will feature vintage front-engine Top Fuel dragsters, nostalgia Funny Car floppers, A/Fuel dragsters, Gassers and more. Plus, you’ll get to talk with the owners of these historical machines, as well as get autographs.

Some of the highlighted cars include:

  • 1976 Mustang Blue Max Funny Car
  • Sid Waterman-Ron Hampshire AA/F dragster
  • Jim Murphy’s WW2 Nostalgia Top Fuel dragster
  • Steve Castelli’s “Hot Rod Willys” 1941 Willys Coupe
  • Gary Densham’s Teacher’s Pet Funny Car
  • Jason Rupert’s Mert Littlefield Tribute Funny Car
  • Brasher, Cummings & Rose 1933 Willys Gasser
  • And many more!

Car enthusiasts will also enjoy the 2nd annual Blast on the Grass Car Show, located on the lawn behind the staging lanes.  Featuring fan-owned hot rods, muscle cars, rat roads and exotics, there is sure to be something for everyone in this dynamic display.
