The hills of the Sonoma Valley will shake with 10,000 horsepower and 300 mph speeds when the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series comes to town for the NHRA Sonoma Nationals this weekend, July 25-27.

To augment the on-track action, the raceway has added an incredible line up of West Coast Outlaw Pro Mods, featuring five-second door slammers ranging from highly-modified Shelbys to supercharged Camaros. Six cars from the West Coast Outlaw Pro Mod Series will be featured on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Two jet dragsters have also been added to the weekend line up.  These fire-breathing machines reach speeds of more than 300 mph and will be featured on Friday and Saturday following the final nitro qualifying sessions.

Away from the drag strip, fans can enjoy the open pits, get autographs from their favorite drivers, and enjoy all the activities the raceway has in store. Here's a glimpse at what fans can enjoy during race weekend:


Eric Medlen Nitro Night, presented by Pacific Gas & Electric Company
Fans are invited to honor the memory of NHRA driver Eric Medlen at the 8th annual Eric Medlen Nitro Night Dinner, presented by PG&Eat Stone Tree Golf Club.  Top NHRA drivers, including Ron Capps, Jack Beckman and Brandon Bernstein, will attend and cost is $125 per person. Track Talk Head to the Wine Country Winner's Circle on Friday at 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. to ask your favorite NHRA drag racer a question!  Check the posted board for times and drivers.


MiraMonte Records Pro Bike Battle It's a race within a race. The eight Pro Stock Motorcycle riders who have accumulated the most qualifying points will compete for their share of the $68,000 purse on Saturday.   

Kids Admitted FREE
Here's your chance to bring out the entire family as children (12 and under) are admitted FREE on Saturday with the purchase of any adult ticket. 

Kids-Only Q&A with Courtney and Brittany Force
The daughters of 16-time NHRA Funny Car Champion John Force pilot the Castrol Edge Top Fuel dragster and Traxxas Radio Control Mustang Funny Car, respectively, at speeds of more than 300 mph. Children (and their parents) are invited to attend this Q&A with the sister racing duo on the Raceway Café patio at 12:30 p.m.



NHRA Champions Starting Line Party
Don't miss the exclusive Q&A and SealMaster Track Walk with defending Sonoma champions Shawn Langdon, Ron Capps, Vincent Nobile and Hector Arana Jr. This VIP pass also includes access to racer introductions. Upgrades to your race-day ticket are available for $20 at the entrance to the track next to the Wine Country Winner's Circle.

Eric Medlen Ice Cream Social
Join us as we honor the late Funny Car racer Eric Medlen after final round eliminations on Sunday. Fans are invited onto the race surface for a free scoop of ice cream, compliments of Dreyer's Grand Ice Cream. Fans are also encouraged to donate to Speedway Children's Charities. 

National Anthem by Auburn Road
The up-and-coming five girl singing group from the Sacramento area, Auburn Road, will perform the national anthem just before the first pair fires for the first round of eliminations.



5th Annual Nostalgia Get Together
Visit the Nostalgia Get Together inside the main paddock garages to check out a stellar collection of vintage dragsters, hot rods and more. This year's show will feature the 1955 Chevy from American Graffiti, the yellow Masters & Richter 1964 dragster, the Blue Max Funny Car, the Waterman/Hampshire Top Fuel car and many more! 

4th Annual Blast on the Grass
Check out the Blast on the Grass Car Show featuring hot rods, muscles cars, rat rods and exotics.  This great display will be located on the lawn behind the staging lanes. 

Sonoma Raceway Girls
Say hello to the popular Sonoma Raceway Girls this weekend, and don't miss your chance to have your picture taken with these lovely ladies.  Pick up a Raceway Girls poster at the Ticket Pit Stop behind the main grandstand. .

Visit Nitro Alley to visit interactive displays, merchandise haulers and check out cars on display.

Heroes in our Community Booth
Fans can send a hero to the upcoming GoPro Grand Prix of Sonoma Verizon IndyCar® Series race in August through a $10 donation at the Heroes in Our Community Booth, presented by PG&E.  The booth is also a hub where fans can sign banners thanking military and first responders for their service.

Ticket Pit Stop
Stop by the Ticket Pit Stop, located behind the Main Grandstand in the paddock to get answers to all of your questions, plus news about upcoming events. This is also the site of the Speedway Children's Charities booth where you can purchase $1 raffle tickets to win the Ultimate BBQ package, including: a propane-powered barbeque, GOODYEAR tire custom cooler and handmade piston wine rack.

CHP, Budweiser Good Sport Designated Driver Booth
The California Highway patrol has teamed up with Budweiser this weekend to help promote designated driving at the Budweiser Good Sport Designated Driver Booth. Fans who pledge to be the designated driver for their group will receive a free non-alcoholic beverage in exchange for refraining from drinking and thus helping to make sure the people in your group have a safe ride home
