Infineon Raceway to Make Guinness World Record Attempt
Infineon Raceway invites Northern California drifters to join in an official attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the Most Cars Performing Donuts Simultaneously on Tuesday, March 20.
The current world record of 57 cars was set in Queensland, Australia, in 2010, and the raceway will attempt to top the record as it opens its gates to drifters. This is a complement to the raceway’s weekly Sonoma Drift, powered by NOS, program which provides drifters a safe, legal and controlled environment in which to hone their skills.
All drifters will be admitted to the raceway free of charge for the record attempt, but must register for the event in advance. All cars must have seatbelts and mufflers to participate, and sounds levels must not exceed 115 decibels.
Gates will open at 2 p.m. for the attempt, with the record attempt slated to begin at 4 p.m. Spectators will also be admitted free.
For more information or to register for the record attempt on Tuesday, March 20, visit Infineonraceway.com/SonomaDrift or contact Lino Ramos at 707-334-9813 to register.
