The beautiful cars of the Ferrari Challenge North America series return to the Sonoma Valley road course for the seventh consecutive year this weekend, April 28-29.

The weekend will be highlighted by the return of the newest purpose-built Ferrari 458 Challenge, which made its North American debut in 2011 in Sonoma, and is the fifth and latest generation of Challenge cars. Adding to the excitement, the Corse Clienti Department’s 599XX Evo and F1 Clienti programs will also participate on track.

One familiar face competing during the weekend will be Robert Herjavec, star of ABC TV’s Shark Tank. Herjavec won both races in the new Coppa Shell class at the season opener in St. Petersburg, Fla., March 24-25.

Spectators are invited to attend the race and enjoy an open paddock area and the Ferrari-festival atmosphere.  The weekend will feature practice on Friday with qualifying and racing in all classes set for Saturday and Sunday. Tickets are $20 each day or $40 for weekend pass and can be purchased at the gate.

Regarded as the longest-running series of its type in North America, the Ferrari Challenge Series is in its 19th season and offers Ferrari owners the opportunity to compete against each other at world-class venues throughout the United States and Canada.

The Ferrari Challenge Series is organized by Ferrari North America, Inc. and sanctioned by the Grand American Road Racing Association.  Complete Ferrari Challenge information can be found on
